Frequently Asked Questions
Who Hires a Redesigner?
- People who want a change in their home. Something isn't right but they’re not sure what. They may have very nice things, but just haven't been able to make it all "come together," or have been too busy to experiment. We can make dramatic improvements without them having to start over or make additional purchases.
- People moving into a new home: We remove the stress of a move by attending to the details of carefully placing their furnishings within their new home.
- People selling their home: Remarkable ReDesign stages homes so that the sale will be fast and for the maximum price possible.
- People who are down-sizing: We will help someone decide what they need to sell and what they can take with them to their new home. Then we redesign their new home to give them a home that they can be proud of and feel comfortable in, using the furnishings they already own.
- People who are combining households: We bring harmony to a diverse collection of furnishings and the family who shares them.
- People who have inherited furnishings: We will integrate these treasured possessions in clients’ home and have them look like they have always been there.
- People with a special occasion coming up: We redesign people’s homes for weddings, anniversaries and other special occasions so make the home the best it can possibly be for the big event.
What’s the process for a Redesign?
- Initially, we meet with our clients for a ReDesign consultation and set the date for the ReDesign session. On the day of the ReDesign session we ask that they “leave home” for the day. Using the principles of design, we place their furniture, artwork and accessories to create inviting, functional spaces that work for them and their family. When they arrive back at the end of the day, they walk into a ‘new’ home.
Why Would I Hire a Redesigner instead of an Interior Designer or Interior Decorator?
- While there is overlap between fields, Interior Designers are experts at redoing your entire kitchen or bathroom, or designing a new addition for your home.
Interior Decorators are more concerned with soft furnishings like window treatments, bedding, and helping you buy the right area rug. Interior Redesigners, however, are specifically trained to work with what you already own to ensure that your furniture, art and accessories are highlighted in the best way possible and that the home is functional for the people who live there.
What if I don’t like my ReDesign?
- Because redesigners work with what you already own, they are not imposing their sense of style or color on you. They are working to make your personality and sense of style shine. Also, anything a redesigner does can be easily changed.
